The idea LGTM, but we need to be careful when switching from match-by-position to match-by-name, as @viirya mentioned. Maybe we can add a config and let end-users decide if they want by-position or by-name. If we pick by-name by default, then it's a behavior change and we need to document it in the migration guide.
