Hmm, I'm not sure. I wondered about that myself. Maybe [this
solution](http://stackoverflow.com/a/1667019/877069) will work for us without
having to turn off logging completely, though if one of the maintainers chimes
in maybe we can remove that `basicConfig()` line entirely.
