xianyinxin commented on issue #26464: [SPARK-29835] Remove the unnecessary conversion from Statement to LogicalPlan for D… URL: https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/26464#issuecomment-552365851 An unfinished work of this pr is we should add checks that DELETE/UPDATE/MERGE are not support in v1 Table. `ResolveCatalogs` and `ResolveSessionCatalog` do some v1/v2 support checks when looking up catalogs for a Statement, but these three logical plans are not `ParsedStatement`. Seems we need check rule for these plans.
