Not sure if this is related, but are you using the xen kernel? When I
tried to use the Xen kernel and VMware Workstation in parallel, it just
made *poof* and I was back at the BIOS screen of my physical machine
when powering on the virutal machine. The non xen kernel works fine with
VMware workstation. 9+ days of uptime without a problem.


My guess is that this is the problem for him. My RHEL-5b2 system is
running just fine with a vmware-server-1.0.1 and 5 client boxes..
