Hi,

Looking at the files the RHEL5 pango and gtk2 packages include,
as well as the FC6 counterparts, I have the following observations:

-  RHEL5 pango does include /etc/pango/i386-redhat-linux-gnu
                                        ^
-  FC6   pango does include /etc/pango/i686-redhat-linux-gnu
                                        ^
-  RHEL5 gtk2 does include /etc/gtk-2.0/i686-redhat-linux-gnu

-  FC6   gtk2 does include /etc/gtk-2.0/i686-redhat-linux-gnu

Given the fact that all directories are directly related to %{_host}
(see the spec files), some questions pop up:

-  Is RHEL5's pango indeed generated using an alternative %{_host}
   definition? Why? Note that gtk2 has been generated differently.

- Is there a policy w.r.t. these directory names (and why is that
   policy not the same for RHEL5 and FC6, why are the names different
   for pango and gtk2)?

- Personally, I'd think that those directories should have the base
   architecture name in it (i386-... in this case) i.s.o. the
   specific architecture (i686-...) of the build host.

Can someone shed a light on this?
