I have similar problem with you before.
And the cause of my problem is that I just put the iso images on the server,
while it actually requires an install package directory.
If you have an DVD installation source, you could just mount this image to a
directory and make it available through http, nfs or ftp.
If you installation source are some cd images, you will have to extract all
the content together to a directory and  make it available through http, nfs
or ftp.
