Hmmm, you might also need the updated alsa libs we are providing for 5.1

Doesn't help :-(. I'm now running the 5.1 beta kernel and alsa-* packages
and I also tried to add model=laptop-epda or model=thinkpad (both are
examples that I found on the net) for snd-hda-intel in /etc/modprobe.conf,
but nothing helps...
Any other suggestions?
Hi,
I dont know if this helps at all, but i am running Fedora 7 on a T61. I
use the alsa CVS sources without any options in modprobe.conf for
snd-hda-intel. Sound works like a charm. The bad part is that i have to
recompile every time i upgrade my kernel ;).
Hope this helps you out mate....And i hope RedHat update the packages.
Thanks,
Finnur
