We are thinking about setting up two sites of which the second will
be a
mirror of the primary. The idea is that the load will be shared
between
the two sites and if either goes down the load will be moved to the
other site.
I have a setup running with drbd and heartbeat. It does not do load
balancing though. What we do is run apache on node 1 and the database
on node 2. When a problem occurs, one node can perform both functions.
We use packages for CentOS to do this in our setup, because they
provide complete packages for both heartbeat and drbd.
