Hi all,

I was looking to file this as a bug report, but I'm not even sure what
component to file it under.

Here's my setup:

An rhel4 box setup as a CUPS server with SSL enabled. Then my RHEL4 and
RHEL5 clients are using it as their print server:

/etc/cups/client.conf:

ServerName printserv.domain.com
Encryption Required

Most applications work just fine. For example Firefox and Adobe Acrobat
reader. They show all of the available printers as CUPS/printer1,
CUPS/printer2, etc. I can print just fine.

However, at least two applications don't work. OpenOffice.org and
Evince. All they show is a "Print to File" option.

If I setup "Encryption IfRequested" in /etc/cups/client.conf, those
applications work just fine. One annoyance is they don't respect the
default printer I setup with 'lpoptions -d printername'.

It appears that the two groups of applications use a different printing
subsystem. I'm thinking Firefox user CUPS directly while OpenOffice
uses libgnomeprint?

If anyone has an answer for me, great. If not, does anyone have more
information on which component is the likely culprit?

Thanks,
 - Steve
