how can i work it out ...
1) That howto is based on CentOS 4.4, there's no guarantee that it
will work on RHEL5 because different libraries and compile options
might lead to different objects being created
2) You're not using the latest version of Courier-Authlib - 0.60.2 -
possibly you should try that first.
3) The RPM error you have is related to the SPEC file provided inside
the courier-authlib package - you need to report this to the Courier
MTA authors, as it's not a problem with something provided by Red Hat.
4) This is related to installing a third-party package, not provided
by Red Hat on RHEL - you should really ask these questions on a
Courier MTA mailing list such as https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/courier-users
as they will have a much better idea of how common these problems are.
5) Try searching the courier-users mailing list archives like this:
http://sourceforge.net/search/index.php?group_id=5404&form_submit=Search&search_subject=1&search_body=1&type_of_search=mlists&all_words=rpm+authlib&ml_name%5B%5D=courier-users
