Hi,

I'm starting to test RHEL5 advanced platform. I tend to do minimal installs of every server OS, but I'd like to know what people usually do when starting to use virtualization (xen). I search for best practices regarding this, and I couldn't find anything (example: partitionning, packaging, remote access to dom0, etc.).

leave "xen" out of your search terms, people have been virtualising Linux since about SLES8 (o was that SLES7) and RHAS2.1.[1]

Some of it will need careful reading and translation and careful evaluation, what applies on one hardware platform might not apply on others. Some folk run up to a thousand virtual Linux systems on one box, but you probably won't.

[1] I wasn't thinking of vmware, experience with vmware should translate fairly well.
