Have you added an Adaptec HostRaid based card to your DL180? The two options for SATA/SAS controller in a DL180 according to the HP site are a Smart Array E200 or P400, both of which definitely use the cciss driver. The ddf1 driver is part of dmraid and attempts to use the software-raid functions of an Adaptec HostRaid card. That particular RAID card requires some kind of driver to make it work as it isn't a true hardware RAID card. If I am correct, you would be better disabling the RAID functions on the card and letting RHEL5.2 see both real disks and then using Linux Software RAID. -- Sam _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
