OK, so you're saying you can't use a customer driver right?  Does that
also leave out ndiswrapper?  If so, a USB ethernet adapter might be an
option.

The only custom driver you are going to find is to take a recent
(say 2.6.28) driver and back-port to 2.6.18 redhat.  If this is not
your daily cup of tea, go buy something.
