On a RHEL 5.1 install, we test a full update to 5.3. First we must update yum-rhn-plugin alone, to avoid a published bug.
Now, I see this when doing a full yum update: Updating for dependencies: dapl x86_64 2.0.7-2.el5 rhel-x86_64-server-5 101 k Transaction Summary ====================================================================================== Install 36 Package(s) Update 737 Package(s) Remove 0 Package(s) Total size: 970 M Is this ok [y/N]: y Downloading Packages: Running rpm_check_debug Running Transaction Test Finished Transaction Test Transaction Check Error: file /usr/lib/libdaplcma.so.1.0.2 conflicts between attempted installs of compat-dapl-2.0.13-4.el5 and compat-dapl-1.2.5-2.0.7-2.el5 file /usr/lib/libdat.so.1.0.2 conflicts between attempted installs of compat-dapl-2.0.13-4.el5 and compat-dapl-1.2.5-2.0.7-2.el5 My first thought is to uninstall dapl and then add it back after the update. Is there anyone else running into this problem? --Donald
