you might want to check file comps.xml in RedHat/base directory (in the  rhel3 
install CD/iso)

there are defined the different groups, and the pre-selection you see during 
install

I was expecting that the option -g for rpm show me what packages are installed 
for specific groups but I am unable to get any output
