Actually, this file exists on the system in /usr/share/comps/i386. Thanks. The '<id>' entries give the package names.


I was expecting that the option -g for rpm show me what packages are installed 
for specific groups but I am unable to get any output

-g goes with -q and requires an argument, I think.
