Can somebody from Red Hat comment on this? I have approved this patch to go
into our environment this week but I feel like I should postpone.

Hi All,

We updated Tomcat5 and a kernel on a server and rebooted, at which point tomcat
refused to work correctly.

Catalina.out showed this.

Moving the webapps out the way in case of a code issue and restarting provided
the same result.

Downgrading to tomcat5 - 5.5.23-0jpp.7.el5_3.2.i386 and restarting tomcat
restored service, but it looks like a problem with that release fo me at least.

Any ideas on how to fix? I've not seen any other complaints re this so I don't
think it is widespread.

I have a case open with RedHat but it is progressing slowly :(

Kind regards
Alasdair
