The links for RHN Errata and Red Hat Documentation have always been open and free to the world: - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/ - http://www.redhat.com/docs/
However, for the updates themselves, you still need to have a paid subscription[1]. You mentioned HP. Did you buy your HP system with a RHN Entitlement? If so, you should have received a code for registering with RHN, so you can subscribe the system for updates. Or do you work for HP? You can respond off-list if you like. NOTE: EUS is a separate entitlement from the base platform entitlements (although it's fairly inexpensive, and only a fraction of the cost). -- Bryan [1] NOTE: As a professional, I have a Red Hat Developer subscription for myself so I can access details, software (for testing) and the Knowledgebase. However, I refuse to download software for any of my clients, and force them to send me a separate login for their RHN account and related subscriptions. ----- Original Message ----- From: "robinpr...@gmail.com" <robinpr...@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, October 14, 2011 11:43 AM Bryan Great follow-up! Thank you for that. I do hope HP has access to the link I mentioned. :) > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Bryan J Smith <b.j.sm...@ieee.org> > Sent: Friday, October 14, 2011 11:27 AM > > Just to clarify ... > > The latest EL5.6 kernel for Extended Update Support (EUS) is -238.27.1 (20 > Sep) ... > - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel-server-5.6-errata.html > - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-1321.html > > If you don't have EUS, then the last -238 (EL5.6) series kernel was -238.19.1 > (15 Jul), with the newer -274 (EL5.7) series kernel being adopted the > following week (21 Jul), and more recently updated to -274.3.1 (06 Sep) ... > - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/rhel-server-errata.html > - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-0927.html > - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-1065.html > - http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-1212.html > > Last time I checked, one must have an EUS entitlement to get the EUS > updates.
