I'm thinking of using latest 5.7 OS (latest as of what RHN has) for production deployment.
There 2 ways to go about it that come to my mind: 1) Take the stock image of RHEL5.7 iso, and install the OS via KS. in %post install initiate "yum update" - this approach lengthy and not very exiting 2) Take latest updates from RHN, dump them into "Server" directory - this is the area where I get somewhat uncertain. Do I need to re-run createrepo to update the repodata? Is RHEL5 uses yum as its base installer? I'm suspecting createrepo should be enough, but not 100% certain. If you had any experience with this method, please shed some light. Thanks ilya
