I think we are missing the point for a bit..

Option 1:
You have multiple NICs that leverage be2net module and would like to disable
some NICs and keep some to remain online for connectivity.

Option 2:
You want to disable the Emulex 10G NICs altogether?

Hi

I am replying all of you , who answered my request in one email.

Yes, the be2net driver is being used by the nics.. They are bonded and also
two of them are using the vlan trunk.
Tried to ifdown the eths but they are still up.. though I am not using none
of the trunk vlan at this moment.. also I am trying
to do all these work from the console..

So to unload this driver what else I need to do - pl. advice.

  Thanks again
   Srija

Sorry but if i lose the network when i remove a module, it's better verify if
it's in use before blacklisting the module

Google on how to black list a module on your linux host.

Subject: [rhelv5-list] be2net driver

Hi ,

Can anybody help me in removing the be2net driver in linux environment. We
have some issue associated to
the be2net .. So for taking the dump on be2net, this driver is needed to be
removed at the time of problem occurs

We have vlan trunk configured on the nic which is using be2net driver. Also
trunk is associated to 8021q driver.

So when I am trying to remove be2net driver as [ rmmod be2net ] , though
it is not objecting but server is getting
disconnected from the network. In the console getting the be2net driver is
still loaded

So if anybody can help me in removing the be2net at this stage , will be
really appreciated.

Thanks in advance..
