Firstly, I've had a newsletter from David Shasha yesterday which had a biographical article from a Sephardic Iraqi Jewish woman, which clarified a lot of what had happened in Iraq dirung the Second World War.
So I'm offering my apologies to donnella whiteacre for doubting her good faith in this question without sufficient cause, in our previous exchanges. I can no longer plead ignorance. Secondly, I'm now starting to wonder if the vicious Iraqi flareup against the Iraqi Jewish community during the Second World War, might not be similar to that that the Armenians suffered at the hands of the Turks at the turn of the 20 C., and after the First World War. Once we understand a few more of the causes, we - hopefully - should be able to spot them earlier, and have a better chance at counteracting them. At least, that is my hope.
