Actually, being of historical bent, the thought of the Germans in Stalingrad is one of the images keeps running through my head when I see and think of the US soldiers attacking Falluja - the parallel is not exact but is combined with what Vietnam became - the US would go and capture a place, kill lots of people and then withdraw with the Vietcong coming right back in - when Falluja is suppressed the Iraqi resistance will pop up elsewhere. I am just waiting for someone to say "we are winning the hearts and minds"
