If Kerry continues to support this war I do not think I can carry through
with my vote for him. If he doesn't repudiate this horrible, horrible war
he is not informed. If he cannot say how U.S. policy, including the
Democrats caused the death of 500,000 children from the sanctions alone
(plus the bombing, etc), which was at least on a par with any deaths
caused by Saddam Hussein -- and the 100,000 that were murdered on the
highway from Kuwait to Baghdad of conscripts fleeing; running away, and
our air force executed them from the air in that "turkey shoot," which is
what they called it. If he doesn't see the injustice of continuing an
immoral war then he doesn't deserve my vote. Not at all.
I am on the cusp with my decision and it won't take much for me to give
my support to Nader again -- even if he can't win because at least I'll be
honest to my convictions. I have repudiated my support for Israel's
government using the same measure of what is right and what is wrong. The
problem will be sleeping at night if I think that my mistake and others
who may do the same might be responsible for making it worse. It really is
a conundrum and almost irrational to vote for someone because you don't
like him but like the alternative even less.
Maybe I won't vote.................
