Hank, speaking as one who got my training in practical politics from a master of same -- J. Raymond Jones, the "Harlem Fox" -- who Bobby Kennedy came to see to ensure support for his brother in 1960, one has to chose sometimes the lesser evil. I recall once asking Ray how he could possibly support a real dog of a candidate and he patiently responded, "Look at the alternative." Needless to say with four more years of Bush (or should I say his string pullers) in office we may not have a country that you and I can bear living in. For my part, having grown up not far away from where he came, I cannot stomach Nader. I know the type all too well. I heard him respond that he has several millions when he was asked how he would fund his campaign. I don't imagine that he is spending very much of that running for office. He makes his in speaking fees and has to keep an audience in tow to do so. Needless to say it's the oldest game in town -- what we knew as a red herring candidate designed to draw off voters to win an election. Suspect that if you check his donors, you will find they are not poor folks like you and me. It is not principles that one votes for with Nader -- it is enhancing his bank balance. Best, Ed
