sooooo different from these clowns who never served, cheney (it didn't fit into my
prorities untill now i guess and george who was out parting) handing out band aids at
the convention with purple hearts on them. what an outrage and slam to the families of
dead soldiers and war heros.
and the american public will swallow this without a word. what have we come to?
we are not even seeing the thousands of demonstrators on t.v. and we have a free
press? sure we do.

But Michael,

Surely a "war hero" is allowed to be antiwar.Surely someone who has served
in a war is allowed to condemn war... after all, surely they are the ones in
the best position to know what they are talking about.

I think that the republicans, with their massive media power, are trying to
box the argument in... push the argument down a track similar to what you
are saying A can't be B...."war hero" can't be "anti-war hero." As I have
just shown.... of course they can... in fact, that's the most expected
outcome.

You and I know war is terrible. We all remember the horror of Vietnam. So
one guy comes home, with a few medals, and condemns the war.... bloody good.
Shows great character.
