I've always supported Jews having the right to live anywhere they choose. But that's not the issue in Palestine at the current moment. That is about whether or not a migrant population has the right to oppress the people already there, to the extent that they are denied the right to freedom of movement, etc. > Jews are always being expelled. Which is why the Sephardim celebrate the Jewish Golden Age in Muslim Spain. And Baghdad. Etc. Just for the record, it was Salah adDin (Saladin) who invited Jews to set up a community in Jerusalem after he recaptured the city, after the previous Jewish community had been massacred by the Crusaders. Obvious proof of bad intentions, eh? > Do Jews have the right > to live anywhere? They do not have the legal right to live in Jordan. Not being allowed to live in Jordan - that's the result of An-Nakba, the Palestinian Catastrophe. And al-Husseini's secret treaties with the Yishuv. Eg, the Yishuv was to get the Mandate except for the West Bank, and Jordan would get the rest. Horse-trading - what else do politicians do? > They are not > allowed to live in Saudi Arabia. Actually Iraq made the statement that Iraqi Jews would be permitted to return, some time after the creation of Israel. I forget the year, but the offer was made. > They are being told to get > out of the territories. But are the Jewish settlers the same people who were so recently expelled? I seem to remember there's a huge social divide between the Sephardim and the Ashkenazim - and the Jews who lived in what is now Jordan, were Sephardim. While the Jewish Settlers from Queens, NY, etc, where they are so obviously in need of a place of sanctuary from all the persecution they suffer in New York ... ;) are Ashkenazim. Lumping them all together as "Jews" and arguing that there's no differences, doesn't work. The Jews who were there and who lost their property, yes, there is a case for compensation, return, etc. Ashkenazim from America being "compensated" from the Sephardic properties - well, just swap around the names and see if you get the same answer. > > Why Won't the Palestinian Authority Eliminate Terrorist Organizations?
