Hello, I’m starting a new software project and among some other architectural decisions, we’ve decided to use DDD and event driven SOA using an ESB. I’ve been analyzing some ESB products, and by now, RESB seems the solution that best fits our needs (nservicebus was also considered, but now it went commercial and the open version has some restrictions, also too much functionality for the problem we want to solve). Regarding your great ESB, I have some questions, which I was not able to answer to my department mates:
- I see that RESB supports different Queuing APIs: which of them do you recommend for a production environment? - Can sent/published messages participate in a Transaction, so the messages are only sent if the Transaction is commited? - Do you have any benchmark report? Although I don't forsee a high volume of messages, I’m wondering if you have analyzed bus throughput for publishers and for consumers? - Do you see any limitation in your ESB to use it as the ESB solution for an Enterprise solution?
