We're no longer talking about sexual affairs by Democrat leaders; they'll tell US we're over budget but never made any public assessment on the long term effects our nation's current financial position. The biggest heist in history, and they remain mum. Had the 4th Estate done their job responsibly, we wouldn't have re-elected the people responsible for our plight. Nor have they even mentioned Attny Berg's suit filed during the primaries contesting Barack's place of birth despite the fact it is currently being considered by the US Supreme Court. When will they find it to be "fit to print"? When some one gets dragged out of a car in Watts and beaten? As a result of their media malpractice, Justice Souter & Friends are in a very tight spot. If they support the challenge, they could be held responsible for the riots that could result. Certainly, race relations will suffer a set back. The cost of ensuring the Constitution's meager requirements be upheld could be equivalent to screaming "Fire" in a Movie Theater under foreclosure. It will be a real test for them to set the true market value of that piece of paper they've trampled so often. Either way, this nation is no longer worth fighting/voting for. It has morphed into something not authorized in its founding documents. It is in fact, an outlaw govt. MEDIA After 2 years of unflagging support, you hear some of the most enthusiastic newsmen (like Tom Brokaw & Charlie Rose) muse, what do we know about this guy. Is he who he says is; or, is he who he has always been? But this time, with the bail out, they ignored our pleas, and 3 weeks later, we dutifully re-elected them to misrepresent US. Do you think they noticed? FINANCIAL CRISIS Even while they blame govt institutions (Fannie & Freddie) as the cause of the meltdown, the nation's managers have US thinking the cure is to reign in Wall Street's CEO compensation. Huh? It's an attempt at class warfare, they are appealing to our greedy side. Main Street Vs Wall Street. US vs them. And too many respond by wondering how much will be doled out to us in the next promised stimulation package? Instead of holding the culprits accountable, we're asking, "Where's mine?" If they can spend literally trillions to save banks and insurance companies, why can't they save our homes; or how come they'll save the homes of people who didn't qualify for a mortgage in the first place? Besides, isn't that what they said the Bail Out was going to do---purchase the "bad paper" to clean up mortgage banks' balance sheets? Why weren't they there for Mr & Mrs Joe Citizen when they had to deal with deceptive mortgage company salesman they are now bailing out with our money? VOTING IRREGULARITIES ACORN has replaced Diebold. Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboy starting line up and Mickey Mouse registered in several states. He's been successful getting more small donations from more people than anyone in history. He turned off the security controls matching the donor's Name and Credit Card number to prevent violations of campaign limits, AND a significant number of contributions were NOT made in even dollars (suggesting foreign-exchange origin). So far, no one is smart enough to audit the CC numbers in lieu of the missing customer names. Besides, that would be a violation of their privacy. WALL STREET Vs BUTTER You don't have to be no brain accountant to know, if you spend a lot of money for one thing, there's going to be less for other things. It's common knowledge among housewives everywhere. That's why Detroit made no autos during WWII, and gas, candy bars & ladies nylon stockings were in short supply. With the Secty of Treasury passing out more dollars than there are stars in the sky, how can anyone imagine there will be enough for anything else, such as natl health care, a 4% govt employee salary increase? (The 5% increase in SocSec checks can be offset with a 10% increase in the deduction from MediCare benefits.) Certainly these debts can't be paid off in our life time. EDUCATION Only a politician can promise more affordable education but do nothing, zero, zip, nil, to reduce education costs. Only a partisan media person would broadcast it. Cost per pupil is soaring. And has been for decades. It's like promising better medical care to more people without training more people to work in the Health industry. Liars, liars, liars! McCain There's a lot of talk about who is to blame for the GOP loss. Everything from McCain's age to Sarah's pumps were faulted. The religious right stayed home, McCain was sleep walking or didn't move far enough left, but the real answer is as plain as the nose on their collective face. They've got US looking in all the wrong places? And altho there isn't a pol alive who admits he/she knows how/why Barack won, we still don't see the obvious. R U getting the picture yet? The election was a farce. We the People were played like an orchestra of fiddlers on a hot tin roof. I don't need to tell you, this election had nothing to do with issues. No serious talk of becoming energy independent. No discussion on why our once-world's-best public school system isn't in the top 20 tier. Hint: $$$$ SMOKE and MIRRORS And while the GOP strategists can't decide if they should move further to the left or go back to Reaganomics, no one, not Rush, not Coulter, Not Hannity not the RNC utters the obvious. No one, not a youthful Reagan, nor even Jesus Christ himself, had a prayer to overcome the 8:1 disadvantage in political mothers milk facing McCain. As Joe Biden might say, Barack won because of a four-letter work, m-o-n-e-y. First fill-up since I returned from Branson. BAIL OUT AUTO MFGRs I can't imagine how much money it would take to make the US auto industry competitive with foreign automakers. As long as they have so many unresolved systematic impediments, it is pouring good money after bad. Better to use the traditional bail out system work out the problems. Bankruptcy Court is better equipped in these types of situations. At least that method is Constitutional. MONOPOLY REPORT Merging the remnants of Chrysler with one of the BIG TWO, is another bad idea. Our economic system requires FAIR competition. It is the catalyst needed to make Capitalism work. Without it, you get the USPS. If the govt wants to do something, place a tariff on imports equal to the work force "group health" subsidies paid by the country of origin. That would help level the playing field. ENERGY INDEPENDENCE ? I can't imagine how any pol can't see far enough to realize a lot of good could happen if we were energy independent again. Certainly they are old enough to remember how much it cost US to blow up dams, and cap oil wells. With the mindset of our current crop of leaders, there could be a day when a Saudi Oil Company headquartered in Qatar leases our public lands to pump oil to China so we can collect the royalty to increase teacher salaries. The SLICK SOLUTION – Share the wealth I've got a better solution. You know that "equity stake" the govt is taking in banks and corps to "protect the people's investment"? How about, after one year, they distribute that "equity stake" to We the People, one share of each entity to each tax paying citizen? What they're doing now smells an awful like all those cigarette taxes they passed to relieve the people who had to "pay the freight for the health problems smoking caused."
