Rick Perry, the Good, Bad & the Ugly We weren’t born in Texas. I was born and bred in Chicago, my Peggy in Boston, but we got to Texas as fast as we could, 1986. This was quite an adjustment for us. With dead armadillos lettering the side of the highway and rattle snake hunts, it was different, to say the least. But the jobs were here and the living easy. Now I pay attention to politics as any civilian. I can smell a line of B.S. when I see one. As a life-long accountant, I tend to more objective than most, i.e., when it comes to finance. We’ve learned a lot in the last 25 years. For instance, did you see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Well, to tell the truth, that was a lie. There was no chainsaw massacre in Texas. It actually happened in another state, but the movie producers moved the location to Texas because no one would believe something like that could happen in Wisconsin, home of Jeffrey Dahmer. http://www.texaschainsawmassacre.net/Convinced.htm But I stray. I’ve had some reservations as to whether our current Gov, Rick Perry, was up to becoming POTUS. I think we all know, if we’re going to reverse the trajectory of the nation, we better get the facts right this time. Republic’s hangs in the balance. I knew of some things I didn’t like about Perry, and I was seeing a lot of things in the media I knew were untrue, or never heard of. I’ve been commenting on these things based on what I know about the man and doing so without sharing my opinion. It is imperative that we find the very best candidate to face off Vs Obama next year. We can’t afford to have a RINO at the top of the ticket. Then I got most of my questions answered at the below link. Hat tip and many thanks to Carol K. It is generally believed that Texas has no income tax on citizens’ earnings. Well, that isn’t quite true either. When Ma Richards was Gov the legislature passed it’s first ever income tax on personal income. It was very specific. Sale of used cars was exempted. Dividend income was excluded. Earned income was non-taxable. Everything was exempt except one thing. Bingo winnings!
