Meanwhile, Sen. Mary Landrieu offered standing ovations and yet again failed to stand up for hard-working Louisiana families. “Nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime,” President Obama said during his address to the nation. This was one of 12 different occasions since 2008 that the President has made such a claim, yet the national debt has steadily increased to 58.6 trillion dimes under President Obama. Senator Mary Landrieu is as ignorant about this problem as President Obama. "I am not going to keep cutting the discretionary budget, which, by the way, is not out of control, despite what you hear on Fox News,” Senator Landrieu said in January. “Washington has a spending addiction and isn't aware of it,” LAGOP Chairman Roger Villere said. “When you have the President double-down on failed policies and promises the way he did last night, the only solution is to elect conservative leaders to hold him accountable." Senator Landrieu voted with President Obama 95 percent of the time in 2011, 98 percent of the time in 2010 and 97 percent of the time in 2009. “Senator Landrieu has clearly displayed by her actions and voting record that she is a part of the problem and not committed to finding a solution.” Villere said. “The GOP has a solution for Louisiana residents: Replace Mary Landrieu in 2014 with a common-sense conservative who actually cares about Louisiana and shows it in his or her actions and voting record.” Copyright © 2013 Republican Party of Louisiana, All rights reserved.
