RR: The tale of 2 tormented citizens
Last week we were inundated about the trials and tribulations and pursuit of Chris Dorner and the manhunt that followed. His misguided actions to declare war on those who in his opinion treated him unfairly led to his demise, but not before he got his pound of flesh. Well, here's another guy who went to war with the govt and also lost. The difference is how he handled the conceived loss to the almighty uncaring govt. He did not go crazy trying to get even; he was not proactive like Doner; he did not retaliate; he did not take up arms to punish his tormentors. He just gave up. Wayne Wynkoop made a statement when he stood up to Norwood Township. Right or wrong, Mr. Wynkoop made clear that he was not to be stepped on. His fight – literally to the death – is a shining example of citizens reminding the government that they work for the people. I urge you one more time – never again allow one of our citizens to be "that guy." Never again watch and say "It's not my problem."
