Hi,
I've been lurking for awhile, just reading the posts and taking notes...I
have a few questions about endurance saddles. I currently have five horses,
but two that I would consider doing distance riding on- a 4yr old mustang
mare and a 10 yr old connemara/tb gelding. I have always ridden
english(mostly foxhunting/xcountry/pleasure) and feel much more comfortable
in an english saddle. It is time for a new saddle and with all the choices
I find it difficult to fiqure out which one would be the best one for me. I
would like to have a saddle that would fit both horses( I know, I know)
because I can't really afford two new saddles and want to get a quality
saddle. My Mustang is about 15.2 and sturdy, and the Connemara is about
15.1 and slightly narrower, but can go in a medium wide english saddle. I
am 5'8" . Any help would be appreciated. Honestly, I will probably never
get to the 100mile distances, or extreme incline work but you never know. I
live in NY.
Thanks,
Margie
