-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree with Tom Sites and Truman - whatever the reason is that the ROC is not sanctioned - it should still be held. I rode ROC in '88 (I think!) and crewed the winning horse in Utah and the fifth place horse one year in Colorado, and the third place horse in Kentucky (the years all blur together now!!) It was a premier ride with GREAT qualifications. 500 hundred milers - how many people can say they have done that on one horse? Used to be alot of us. ROC was the highlight of my endurance career. I don't care that I didn't get my AERC miles for it. I am glad I got to go, and I'd do it again. Laura Hayes AERC #2741 Now I get to say "yabbut" ;) -- as in, "yabbut == Susan eliminated the qualifications by the time it was finally sanctioned --- so now every horse is "ROC qualified"...
