I thought a read a message not too long ago about horses who pull down and forward
when they want to go faster than the rider would like, and how to "pull back" without
getting into a battle? I have a gelding who very seldom pulls on me, only when he is
really feeling good! Majority of the time he is very respectful of the bit and
doesn't mind "puttering" or keeping a decent pace.

Some advice would be appreciated. I do not want to spoil his mouth, but I can not
have myself flying off the saddle either!
