Just got dumped from my 4-yr old! I never realized the sky could spin at such a rate! And both directions at the same time!

For those of you not familiar with my Lucky, he is my hand-raised, housebroken (honest) gelding. He has been such a gentleman during his education, there really hasn't been any 'training' involved. He just seems to know what I want.            Until today.........

It really wasn't that big of a deal, but I'm typing now because I probably won't be able to move this evening.

We were going down the trail at a nice, easy trot. Old faithful Lily was in front with a student on her, my roommate was just behind on Kayli (my Raider baby), and I was bringing up the rear on Lucky. #&$% pheasant! Beautiful bird. Would like to shoot it. Revenge is a dish best served under glass?

Anyway, to make a rambling, head-injured story short, Lucky spun away from the flying monster and I couldn't find a good soft spot. Gotta get a new pair of riding tights. WAIT!! Not what you think! I tore the knee out of them! And the elbow out of my....elbow.

Gonna take some drugs and go to bed. Rethinking taking my boy on his first LD ride in 3 weeks...well, maybe....

So what is everyone's drug preference for dings and dents?

Maggie Pritchard --owww, and in front of a student, too
Lucky--it was a pterodactyl, Mom, I know it was!
