So what is everyone's drug preference for dings and dents?
I'm quite an expert in this having been dumped HARD many times this year <g> riding these Icelandic ponies. For the last fall I got Vicoden, viox and valium. The vicoden is good if you don't want to get anything done :) Keeps you down for a few days which is good if you fall like I do. The valium is a muscle relaxant but didn't do me as well as when I fell last time. I got Soma for that one <g>. Of course 800 mgs of motrin is always good but sometimes when you are really hurt it is hard to sleep. Everytime you turn over its "yeooowww" and you wake up.
HOT showers and baths do wonders. So does chiro work with ultrasound and ice. I have found that the broken bones don't hurt nearly as bad as strained and sprained muscles. (What a grea thing to have knowledge of!)
As far as baby stuff goes...I'm tired of riding babies. One of my more spectacular launches was training a four year old Icelandic. Wow she could buck. My farrier (who is a retired bronc rider) said they would make good rodeo broncs the way they can tuck and buck.
Mel....who has fallen off those darn ponies so much is not even scared any more.
