"The guy" was Johnny West, with boys Jay and Jamie. His horses were Thunderbolt, Comanche (jointed) and the pony Pancho. I still have mine ;-) I'm afraid I'm like your sister Jane, in that the only Barbie I had (my parent's futile attempt to feminize *me*) was the visiting "city slicker" and was bucked off, kicked, and run over repeatedly. Hmmm, come to think of it, maybe she *was* an endurance rider ;-)

I forgot about Jane West. My sister had the full set of Jane, the guy, and
the indian (don't remember any of the names). I hated them but they could
straddle the horses. Jane was not very feminine. I used their horses for my
Barbies and managed to get Barbie to sit kind of sideways on the horse. And
then Mattel made Barbie with joints. She couldn't stand up anymore, but she
could get on a horse.
