My mindset about the UAE & FEI is quickly changing.  I'm glad i was in at the grass roots level and got my Gold Medal early cause its REALLY not what i want to do or have my horses involved in right now.  tom sites

It's kind of funny to see some of ya'll coming around to the way I've been thinking since I was first introduced to FEI (foreign endurance idiots), the Sultans of Swing, and that million dollar purse they've been offering to the top FEI endurance rider.  And, when anyone ever asked me if there was a way to make a buck in endurance, I sure did know the answer to that one.  Win, win, win the AERC rides, and you will get that phone call.

I don't want to say I told you so, cause the level of this type of competition is way out of my realm, and I never ever was on the receiving end of that phone call.  You know, the one where they make you that offer you cannot refuse.  And, yea I do know a few who accepted that offer and knew that it raised my chances of top tenning cause an exceptional horse was no longer at the rides I attended here in the States.

If we keep selling them our best, we'll never ever beat them.  It's that damn simple!  And, if we ever start running for cash money, here in the States, I'm out of the game completely.  Cause, as sure as my neck is red, that's when folks will get closer and closer to killing their horses for competition.  Call it running for the gold or running for the green, but ya'll know as well as I do, when you run for big money you might as well have those IV bags tied up to that tree, all set and ready to go, for when you cross the finish line.

Something, maybe, to think about, if you haven't already.
