Be courageous, don't look for problems but be prepared. Get your truck and trailer and practice at home to hook and unhook (don't forget to lower the tail gate). Get the rig in a parking lot, big pasture or field and practice turning and backing and using your mirrors until you feel comfortable. Remember that with a gooseneck you have to swing out wider on turns because they cut corners rather that follow directly behind you like a bumper pull.
My husband is always there to help at home but never goes with me and I never have a crew and I personally like to know that I can handle things alone. Have confidence in your abilities, you can do anything you are capable of and pulling this trailer is one of the things you are capable of! Good luck.
