Usualy I ride with my girth very loose.  To the point I get stoped all the time by people asking if my girth needs to be tightend.  But tight enough so that it is up against the belly.  Yesterday Saint was spooking at every thing that wasn't there. (Figure this, a grouse flys between his legs, he's perfectly calm. But you know that there are buggy men in every shadow) So I tighted the girth up tight to keep the sadle from sliding when he jumped sideways.  When I got home and took the saddle off there was a wet saddle shaped mark on his back.  I've never gotten this before so I was wondering if by tightning up the girth I had restricted the air flow over his back? Or am I just nuts.? Do you think that it is best for his circulation to keep riding with a loose girth? I don't realy have any problems staying on, I just tightened it as a precaution.

Thank you for any advice or help, and sorry for so may goofy questions,
