Scanned data from a Guinier camera film in a tab delimited XY text file
allows the graphic presentation of the data in a report. I would like to take
it one step further and try to refine model sturctures for unkown phases in
GSAS. Does anyone have a program which will do this (LINUX or Windows-95).
Not being a programmer, I have tried some software off the web. The
program "Convert" will output an XY format from GSAS but does not seem to
import XY into GSAS. "Winfit" will open the XY file and allowed me to peak
picks and convert the arbitrary X units into a two theta scale using silcon
peaks present as an internal standard. In principle "Winfit" should be able to
export into file formats which could be imported into GSAS. In practice there
are problems with the headers or formatting which prevents this.
