We are planning to buy a powder diffractometer soon.
we will work mainly on capilaries (Debye-Scherrer geometry).
About Philips X'Pert Pro, did anybody try some Rietveld refinement from a
pattern recorded with one of the Philips Hybrid Monochromators (mirror
plus 2 or 4 reflections) ?
The other solution is of course to work with a focusing beam : does the
beam HAVE TO focuse on the sample ? Can't we keep the focusing point on
the exit slit ?
