Naren, you should be aware that RIFE/Search is not actually released yet. It needs a testsuite and javadocs. You need to install the index queue DB structure, like this IIRC: IndexQueue queue = IndexQueueFactory.getInstance(datasource); queue.create(); Afterwards you schedule documents that should be indexed with: queue.saveDocument(indexName, document) The rest happens through the SearchTool class and for the searching itself you should use the Lucene classes you obtain from it. RIFE/Search mainly provides you with a DB structure to queue the indexing itself and handy wrappers to obtain the readers and the writers.
