Inherits comes before pre in the same scope. In this example though, pre will come before inherits since the scope is broader. You know that you could also use another inherits here, instead of the pre.

Can you send me your code in a jumpstart archive? Makes it easier to track what goes on and maybe come up with a solution or workaround.

I will try to get that to you later today.

Actually, I can use only the sessionid as the trigger, but I need to make sure that username always validates for the current session. I figure I could use a "pre" to set the correct username for each request. Now, my question is, if both a "pre" and an "inherits" are declared, which one executes first? Or, should I do something like this?

<group pre="InitialiseUsername">
        <group inherits="LoginCheck">
                ...
        </group>
</group>
