Ok, i know what you mean. This is not a rife topic i think, but a servlet container topic. If you use the quickstart project, its jetty. all erros from your business code are displayed in the console output or log file of jetty. if there isnt an output, there isnt an (printable) error. your code can also hang without compilation errors or exceptions (perhaps loops or something like that). to find these snippets, try to debug the application or profile it.
