Not necessary to "must work" with others clients (you'll not send a file to a 
polycom), only between two Ring system.
Detection could be (open question) done using User-Agent: SIP field.
This could lead to system-specific attack in case of normal SIP (not by DHT, as 
SIP channel is encrypted), but SIP is not secure by definition (that's the 
purpose of our sips layer).
