FLAC is 100% accurate as it's lossless, so you won't get a more accurate
way to encode music. There are other lossless formats, but FLAC is open
and therefore (IMO) preferred.

Yes it is.
It sounds like FLAC would be suitable for you based on the requirements
stated in above.
