I've wondered about the difference too ( flac vs wave ). I have a nice system consisting of Magnepan 1.6 speakers and a CODA Continuum integrated amp. I'm using a wireless Squeezebox with the most current software and to be honest I can't tell the difference. The sound in general is excellent..better than with either cd player I have although they are inexpensive units. I'm going to put some better interconnects in and see how that sounds.
