Basically what I'm trying to achieve is a wrapper around EAC, Flac and Slimserver that allows direct access to the database rather than relying on tags and rescans to get the data in. This is mainly driven from a 'there must be an easier way to do this' perspective. At present it is designed purely to mimic what occurs when tagged files are scanned, but because it talks directly to the database in SQL there is now reason why it could not be extended. At present its at very early alpha stage - it requires MySQL for the database and I have had to add a CLI command to get the database to reload so its hardly aimed at the novice user at present. If anyone is interested I'm happy to talk further about how to extend it to input greater detail.
