EAC and that flac2mp3 script does sound pretty impressive... eech - why the hell does this choice have to be so difficult? ;-)
It isn't difficult, just do things the way Apple wants. :-)
And although I have quite an abundant amount of storage (1000 Gigs, not 1024), mirroring a smaller portion of my library for my iPod seems like a waste of space. *SIGH* What to do.... what to do...
Disk space is nearly free. If you care about disk space, just run flac2mp3 on the fly for the albums you want to listen to this week, and delete the MP3 versions. It doesn't take all that long. Having two versions, say flac and MP3, has its own problems. What happens when you decide that the tags are wrong and go and fix them. Gonna do it twice? I would only expect 1600 CDs to take 500 GB or so. More if you are heavily into classical. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
